A New Era in Professionalism

This year heralds a new era in professional lending standards starting with a single national licensing scheme for credit providers administered by ASIC. The MFAA is a strong advocate for professional standards in our industry and is committed to ensuring our members have an even higher level of accreditation than the now national standard.

Our research tells us that 84% of our members want higher standards for accreditation and that consumers overwhelmingly seek out a broker who deals professionally. For this reason brokers who are considered a Professional Credit AdviserTM must display a high level of expertise and experience, and consumers can deal with confidence with members of the MFAA who hold this accreditation.

The 2010 MFAA National Convention in Melbourne celebrates this New Era in Professionalism. This is our first Convention in Melbourne since 2003 and will be held at the new world class Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre located on the edge of the Yarra River right in the heart of Melbourne.

The opening session, hosted by Jonathan Biggins begins in the afternoon on Wednesday 19 May. The Bankwest Gala Dinner is on Thursday night, with a more streamlined program and only two consecutive streams to choose from we will have you all home for the weekend after Friday lunch.

I look forward to meeting you at the MFAA National Convention, A New Era in Professionalism on 19-21 May. It will be an inspiring start to a new decade.

Yours sincerely

Phil Naylor
